Are you in the US and are trying to change your status from temporary resident to a Green Card Holder? Here is a detailed process to help you go through the Process of Status Adjustment using Form I-485.
What is a status adjustment?
If you’re already in the country, you can petition for adjustment of status, commonly known as AOS, by submitting an I-485 form. It will allow you to request legal permanent resident status (a “Green Card”). In addition, it indicates that you might be eligible for a Green Card without needing to commute back home to finish the visa application procedure.
